Bonnie Keller joined the Ronald McDonald House of
the Ozarks in 1984 as a volunteer. She became a member of the Board of Directors
in 1986, serving as the Volunteer Executive Director until the Ronald McDonald
House was built and opened in 1988. She continued in her role as a member
of the Board until being named the paid Executive Director in 1989. She was
promoted to President & CEO in 1991, a position she has held as the organization
has expanded to include a granting program, the establishment of our mobile
dental unit for at risk children (the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile) in 2002,
and as plans continue for a new Ronald McDonald House within the walls of
St. John's Hospital-Springfield (2009).
Bonnie directs the operations of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of
the Ozarks, Inc., focusing on priorities that serve the organization’s
mission. She is responsible for implementing our vision and executing the
policies established by the Board of Directors, assuming full accountability
for operational issues, and exercising complete authority over and responsibility
for all management decisions and functions. She spearheads all fund development
for the organization and serves as a voting member of the Board of Directors.
She works with The Tooth Truck, Inc. Board of Directors, providing leadership
and operational expertise to further the mission of the Ronald McDonald Care
Mobile (a.k.a. "The Tooth Truck").
To further serve the community, Bonnie served as the Volunteer Chairperson
for the Price Cutter Charity Championship during 2002 and 2003, after supporting
the tournament as a volunteer for 12 years. Bonnie served as the 2004-2005
president of the 225-member Springfield Southeast Rotary Club during the
Centennial Year of Rotary International. She is a charter member of the All
Star Smiles Sertoma Club and was named the 2004 Sertoman of the Year. She
was named the Outstanding Fundraising Executive by the Ozarks Region Chapter
of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2002, and was named as
one of the 20 Most Influential Women of 2004 by the Springfield Business
Journal.
Bonnie has been married to Clayton since 1991. The couple has three daughters
who attend Ozark North Elementary School.
Staci Holland was named Associate House Manager on
July 11, 2005. Staci has served as an Assistant Manager at the Ronald McDonald
House of the Ozarks for nearly three years. Her outstanding commitment to
our families, volunteers and House operations continues to serve the organization
well in her expanded role. Among her duties are coordination of the House
volunteer program, the Family Dinner Program, and the on-going repairs and
maintenance of the Ronald McDonald House.
Staci graduated on August 13, 2005 from Drury University with a Bachelors Degree
in Biology. Her future plans include attending physical therapy school and obtaining
a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She hopes to work in pediatrics. Staci volunteers
with the D.A.R.E. Program, Relay for Life and serves as a spokesperson for "Every
Fifteen Minutes", a program of the Missouri Traffic Safety Alliance, sharing
her personal experience losing a sister to a car accident involving a drunk driver.
During her tenure at Drury University, she served as a student mentor at Pipkin
and Boyd Schools. Staci is the youngest of 5 sisters. She lives in Springfield.
We welcomed Associate House Manager, Donnetta Ghys, to the Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks on December 10, 2007. She attended Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas where she earned three degrees: Business Administration, Economics, and Accounting. Donnetta’s duties at the Ronald McDonald House involve all aspects of House operations and she is responsible for the management of our volunteer program.
While volunteering for various organizations, her local hospital, and Habitat for Humanity, Donnetta was inspired to seek a career where she could give back to her community. In 2006, she moved to Springfield where she met her husband, Todd. Since their marriage in November of 2007, she has enjoyed being a new mother to two-year-old Brady. Some of her favorite pastimes include cooking with Brady and oil painting. Donnetta and her husband are active members of East Sunshine Church of Christ in Springfield.
Mindy
Wise joined Ronald McDonald House Charities on January 1, 2007 as the Program
Manager for the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. She is responsible for the
overall operation and day-to-day relationships for our mobile dental clinic,
which involves every aspect of the program from patients to volunteers
to school sites to Medicaid to future program growth.
Mindy’s personal mission is to continue in a career that has the potential
to impact thousands of lives. She spent the last five years administrating
all aspects of a medical facility caring for roughly 10,000 patient visits
a year in Rio Bravo, Mexico through the Hands Together Ministry. As the clinic’s
medical coordinator, Mindy planned, directed and coordinated all aspects
of medical services provided through the Methodist Church’s largest
foreign mission site, serving Mexican people through onsite facilities, rural
communities, local health facilities and in-home care. She led over 40 missions
each year involving more than 1,500 volunteers, dedicating her time to helping
the poorest of the community receive free medical attention, including surgeries,
while ensuring that volunteers had a positive experience. One of the administrators
Mindy worked with refers to her as the “Pied Piper of Rio Bravo”.
Mindy graduated Magna Cum Laude from William Jewel College in Liberty, MO
in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She attended
the Oxford University Overseas Study Course in 1999-2000 at St. Peters College
in Oxford, England. She has received numerous awards for her work in the
community including honors from the Red Cross, the DIF government
agency and being chosen as one of five awarded for the International Day
of the Woman in recognition of exceptional work performed throughout the
municipality in 2003.
Karen Doman joined Ronald McDonald House Charities
of the Ozarks in May 2004. She came to RMHC with two years of retail management
experience and she holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts (dual major) in Spanish
and English. Among her many responsibilities as our Executive Assistant is
spearheading our database of supporters, acknowledging contributors, and
communicating with our dozens of McDonald's partners in the community who
help our organization through collection canisters, the annual Share a Heart
Campaign, Buddy Bass Tournament, GRIN IRON CLASSIC, World Children's Day
and other local efforts of this generous group. Karen has the unique ability
to successfully manage multiple projects and on-going responsibilities. She
is a wonderful communicator, which greatly influences our many special events
and projects.
Karen and her husband, Doug, moved to Springfield from Wylie,Texas and have
been married since November 2000. They are active members of High Street
Baptist Church.
Adrienne Weber joined Ronald McDonald House Charities on December 3, 2007 in her new position of Event Coordinator. Adrienne moved to Springfield from St. Louis to attend Missouri State University and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Marketing with an emphasis in Advertising and Promotions. During her time at MSU, Adrienne was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority; served as the Vice President of New Member Education; spent three years on the Judiciary Committee (serving as chair for one year); and served on the Student Council of Catholic Campus Ministries for two years. During her senior year, Adrienne was a Sales and Marketing intern for the Springfield Cardinals and after graduation was hired as a Direct Sales Representative.
While with the Springfield Cardinals, Adrienne began volunteering once a week at the Ronald McDonald House where her love and passion for our mission and organization sparked her interest for event planning and helping others. Some of Adrienne’s interests include ANY outdoor activity such as tennis, hiking, camping, and golf. Adrienne attends the St. Agnes Cathedral here in Springfield.
