Bonnie continued in her role as a member of the Board until being named the paid Executive Director in 1989. She was promoted to President & CEO in 1991, a position she has held as the organization has expanded to include a granting program, the establishment of a mobile dental clinic for at risk children (the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile) in 2002, and Springfield’s second Ronald McDonald House to be built within the walls of St. John's Hospital and open in 2012.
To further serve the community, Bonnie is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast, and a member of the All-Star Smiles Sertoma Club, the Price Cutter Charity Championship Executive Board, the GO LEAD Advisory Board, The Health Commission’s Provider Services Advisory Board, and she recently completed a three-year term on the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is also currently serving as a mentor in the NAACP’s Pilot Mentoring Program and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
Awards and achievements include being named the Outstanding Fundraising Executive by the Ozarks Region Chapter of AFP in 2002, one of the 20 Most Influential Women of 2004 by the Springfield Business Journal, receiving the "Making a Difference for Women" Award by Soroptimist International of Springfield in 2008, named the 2010 Executive of the Year by the Hawthorn Chapter of IAAP and being named an Honorary Member of the Greater Springfield Society in 2011. Bonnie has been married to Clayton since 1991 and the couple has three daughters that attend Ozark Schools.
On June 30, 2008 Staci Holland was named the Program Director for the Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks. She began her work as an Assistant Manager in August 2002 and was promoted to Associate House Manager in July 2005. After working nearly two years in her expanded role, she was promoted to House Manager, a position she held until her recent promotion within the organization. As the Program Director, Staci will provide leadership for our current House as well as our Ronald McDonald House within the walls of St. John’s Hospital. She is a member of the Partners for Maternal and Child Health , the Healthy Community Collaborative, and will be participating in Leadership Springfield in 2009.
Staci graduated from Drury University on August 13, 2005 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. Her passion for helping families of ill children has led her from a path in medicine to a career with RMHC. Staci has served as Vice President of the Springfield Zeta Tau Alpha Alumnae Chapter since 2007 and, currently, is a member of the Partners for Maternal and Child Health and the Healthy Community Collaborative and H.O.P.E Sertoma. She also volunteers with Relay for Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and serves as a spokesperson for the “Every Fifteen Minutes”, a program of the Missouri Traffic Safety Alliance, sharing her personal experience of losing a sister to a car accident involving a drunk driver.
We welcomed Donnetta Ghys as our Associate House Manager to the Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks on December 10, 2007 and she was promoted to House Manager on June 30, 2008. She attended Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas where she earned three degrees: Business Administration, Economics, and Accounting. Donnetta's duties as the House Manager involve overseeing all aspects of House Operations and providing leadership to the Assistant Manager team. She is also a part of Springfield's Ambassadors for Children Advisory Committee which supports abused and neglected children in the Ozarks.
While volunteering for various organizations, her local hospital, and Habitat for Humanity, Donnetta was inspired to seek a career where she could give back to her community. In 2006, she moved to Springfield where she met her husband, Todd. The couple and their children, Brady and Addyson enjoy spending time outside, cooking together, and doing various art projects. The family loves the Ozarks and are grateful to live in such a wonderful community of people!
Donnetta and her husband are active members of East Sunshine Church of Christ in Springfield and Springfield Schools PTA.
Bailey, an Iowa native, began her work with the Ronald McDonald House® of the Ozarks as a volunteer in Novemer 2006 while attending college at Evangel University. During her two years as a volunteer, Bailey contributed nearly 200 hours of her time and was hired as an Assistant Manager in 2008. The experience and knowlege Bailey has acquired through her service will be a great asset in her new role working closely with our donors and volunteers. Upon graduating from Evangel University in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education, Bailey worked with the Springfield Public School system at Robberson Elementary, teaching first grade.
Bailey officially began her role as Associate House Manager on May 16, 2011. She will serve as the coordinator for our volunteer and family dinner programs for the Primrose Street Ronald McDonald House. Her commitment to serving others has allowed her to travel to Uganda with Juna Amagara Ministries. During her time in Uganda, Bailey and her family were instrumental in developing a Learning Advancement Center to teach indiginous residents domestic skills and help bring electricity to their village. She also enjoys volunteering her time at the Pregnancy Care Center in Springfield on Tuesday evenings.
Mindy Muñoz joined Ronald McDonald House Charities on January 1, 2007 as the Program
Director for the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. She is responsible for the
overall operation and day-to-day relationships for our mobile dental clinic,
which involves every aspect of the program from patients to volunteers
to school sites to Medicaid to future program growth.
Mindy’s personal mission is to continue in a career that has the potential
to impact thousands of lives. She spent the last five years administrating
all aspects of a medical facility caring for roughly 10,000 patient visits
a year in Rio Bravo, Mexico through the Hands Together Ministry. As the clinic’s
medical coordinator, Mindy planned, directed and coordinated all aspects
of medical services provided through the Methodist Church’s largest
foreign mission site, serving Mexican people through onsite facilities, rural
communities, local health facilities and in-home care. She led over 40 missions
each year involving more than 1,500 volunteers, dedicating her time to helping
the poorest of the community receive free medical attention, including surgeries,
while ensuring that volunteers had a positive experience. One of the administrators
Mindy worked with refers to her as the “Pied Piper of Rio Bravo”.
Mindy graduated Magna Cum Laude from William Jewel College in Liberty, MO
in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She attended
the Oxford University Overseas Study Course in 1999-2000 at St. Peters College
in Oxford, England. She has received numerous awards for her work in the
community including honors from the Red Cross, the DIF government
agency and being chosen as one of five awarded for the International Day
of the Woman in recognition of exceptional work performed throughout the
municipality in 2003. Mindy is a member of The Network and Partners for Maternal and Child Health.
After first meeting in Mexico, Mindy and her new husband, Ivan, were married in March of 2008. In their free time they enjoy participating in community events celebrating the hispanic culture.
Adrienne McCoy joined Ronald McDonald House Charities on Dec. 3, 2007 in her position of Event Coordinator. Adrienne moved to Springfield from St. Louis to attend Missouri State University and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Marketing with an emphasis in Advertising and Promotions. During her time at MSU, Adrienne was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority; served as the Vice President of New Member Education; spent three years on the Judiciary Committee (serving as chair for one year); and served on the Student Council of Catholic Campus Ministries for two years. During her junior year, Adrienne was the sales and marketing intern for the Schlafly Brewery in St. Louis and in her senior year, she was a Sales and Marketing intern for the Springfield Cardinals and after graduation was hired as a Direct Sales Representative.
While with the Springfield Cardinals, Adrienne began volunteering once a week at the Ronald McDonald House where her love and passion for our mission and organization sparked her interest for event planning and helping others. Adrienne is now a member of Springfield Rotaract where she serves as the Director of Development and is an executive committee member of The Network. She is also involved with the All-Star Smiles Sertoma Club and serves on the Executive Committee for Rock’n Ribs.
Adrienne and her husband Brent were married in September 2009. They love camping and canoeing and any time spent with their dogs in the great outdoors.
The staff of Ronald McDonald House Charities would like to congratulate Kim Booth on her recent promotion to Development Assistant! Kim first became involved with the organization 16 years ago as a volunteer assisting Bonnie and Debbie with events, such as Cup O' Cheer Homes Tour. In 2002, she was hired as a part-time Administrative Assistant, a position she has held until her recent promotion. Kim is married to Terry Booth and has two sons, Cole and Quinton, who attend Glendale High School. When Kim isn't attending various sporting events of her sons, she enjoys attending bible study and relaxing. Kim is looking forward to an all-girls vacation with her mother and sister next September!
Kim is excited to begin her new role with the organization on November 7, 2011!
